It was GAME ON at Nimes this Sunday!
Rain. Cold temperatures. What better way to spend your Sunday afternoon than staying cosy indoors and watching the live archery competition at Nimes! It was the first big event for many archers in over a year. Of course, the event was heavily downsized due to Covid19 safety measures. Only about a 110 archers were able to participate. Needless to say the stress levels were high and it took a couple of ends for the competitors to become calm and focused.

After those first rounds to get settled, the gloves were coming off and it was GAME ON. The final matches were so thrilling that they had everyone sitting on the edge of their seats!

Congratulations to all contestants! We had a great time and enjoyed your performances.

Yay for these gold medal winners:
  • Compound Men: Jean Philippe Boulch
  • Compound Women: Lisell Jäätma
  • Recurve Men: Steve Wijler
  • Recurve Women: Lisa Unruh

And last but not least, a big ‘hear-hear’ to the organization for setting up the event. They did an amazing job considering the health precautions and what not that needed to be taken into account. They have set the example for future tournaments.
